Renowned lawyer, Boateng Barfi-Ankrah, has made a generous contribution to support the upcoming Ohum Festival organized by the Apedwa Youth Club (AYC) in collaboration with Apciti Gate.

The donation, consisting of eight sets of jerseys, a trophy, four footballs and a cash amount of Ghc 2000, aims to enhance the festival experience and contribute to the success of the event scheduled to take place this month.

The Ohum Festival, an annual celebration organized by the Apedwa Youth Club, is a highly anticipated event in the community. This year, the festival will span from July 14th to July 16th, 2023, and will feature a series of exciting events.

The festivities kick off on Friday, July 14th, with an Inter School Quiz held at the forecourt of the chief’s palace. This quiz serves as an opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and compete for recognition.

Apciti Gate

On Saturday, July 15th, the focus shifts to an Intercommunity Soccer Tournament and the Miss Ohum 23′ pageant. The soccer tournament will witness teams from different communities competing against each other, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and unity. The winner of the Miss Ohum 23′ pageant will be awarded a prestigious prize sponsored by Apciti Gate, one of the partners involved in organizing the festival.

Sunday, July 16th, will be dedicated to a fundraising event aimed at supporting the AYC Educational Fund. This initiative highlights the importance of education and the AYC’s commitment to empowering youth through educational opportunities.

Furthermore, a lineup of various artists is set to grace the festival on the night of July 15th, providing entertainment and adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

CEO of Apciti Gate, Nana Yaw Osene-Akwah, received the donated items for the Ohum Soccer Tournament on behalf of the Ohum committee. He expressed gratitude to Lawyer Barfi for his generous contribution, acknowledging the positive impact it would have on the tournament.
